After my studies of experimental art at the University of the Arts Berlin at Rebecca Horns' class, I received an Erasmus grant to The Chelsea College of Arts in London and a DAAD scholarship for Computer Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Afterwards, I completed my PhD on "Research Arts: the Interface of Art, Science and Technology as a Field of Knowledge and Action" at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Barcelona. While writing my thesis i developed the idea to create the "Research Arts" platform, where since 2012 a research community interested in artistic research publish their articles.
My multimedia art installations, videos, cinetic objects, sculptures and paintings have been shown internationally in museums, galleries and art festivals in Germany, Spain, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, USA, Canada, among others at the Academy of Arts Berlin, Kunsthalle Nürnberg, Deutsche Bank Barcelona, European Capital Thessaloniki, KIBLIX Art Science Technology Festival.
In my indoor mixedmedia installations I want to create an immersive experience of a core perception and/or history of a particular space as a train station hall, a lapidarium, a former shipyard or liqueur factory. They often contain motion through sculptural kinetic elements that move naturally or are operated by a machine or the user.
I have developed transdisciplinary art projects in cooperation with a.o. the Center for Development Research, Bread for the World, the German Commission for UNESCO and Heinrich-Böll-Foundation.
In the last years I have been mainly creating outdoor collaborative interventions, land art and participative landscape interventions, and since three years i am participating in the organization of the BATECS Art and Nature Festival.

My research fields are focused on the exploration and development of artistic cooperative practices and participatory scientific approaches that may contribute towards a transformation to a more sustainable society. More specifically the research fields I am mainly interested in are artistic research, environmental and connecting art, archives and memory, inner and outer transformation, sustainability and transition research, transformative learning and ESD, science and democracy, participative research policies, ecovillages and sustainable living, community-designed methods and practices.
I collaborated with the German civil participation platform "Forschungswende", which advocates civilian involvement in science. After my MBA, I deepened my experience in national and European research projects working as seniour project manager at the Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology ICN.
I have published in book chapters and academic journals e.g. about the inner transformation towards sustainability and the “RealLab transformative learning approach” in higher education, and wrote a handbook for transdisciplinary projects in Latin America. Within the frame of the European project "Soft Control" linked to Hangar and Grid Spinoza I collaborated in writing a protocol for interdisciplinary research and knowledge transfer in arts, science and technology. In collaboration with the Global ecovillage network GEN, I co-leaded the project "Living in sustainable villages" financed by the German Environmental Ministry. Since 1998 I have been teaching and lecturing at different universities and extracurricular education centres. At the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona I worked as a visiting professor, juror on a selection comittee, and initiator of the annual degree shows. At the Leuphana University a.o. the Institute for Ethics and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research (IETSR) I designed transdisciplinary Reallabs for higher education through research-community partnerships particularly with ecovillges, developing methods to support the enhancement of student's competences in participative and sustainability oriented research. In my adult education seminars i apply diverse communication methods, based on my trainings in a.o. Community Building (Scott Peck), Forum (ZEGG) and Dialogue (David Bohm). I am co-founding member of the Bund für Bildung e.V. association in Berlin where i collaborate developing educational projects and materials. With my teaching, I want to inspire young people and adults to embrace sustainable lifestyles and to implement their needs and visions in everyday life. I try to combine a sound knowledge base and expertise in subject areas with a high level of reflection, communication and action skills. It is particularly important to me to foster interdisciplinary knowledge and transdisciplinary approaches taught by combining community-building, artistic and scientific methods that foster creative and relaxing mutual learning experiences.
